Frank Gelbart, President & CEO
Frank Gelbart is an accomplished executive who has led both privately-held and publicly-traded technology firms. Frank served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Entevo Corporation, where he spearheaded sales growth that culminated in a $125 million acquisition by BindView Development. Prior to Entevo, he was Vice President of Sales at CyberGuard Corporation. Before joining Entevo he was VP of Rest of World Sales for Cheyenne Software where he oversaw sales operations in Asia, Canada and Latin America. Cheyenne was then acquired by Computer Associates for $1.2 billion.
Allen Skees, Vice President, Technology
Allen Skees brings significant experience to Appfluent’s product development efforts. Allen has over 18 years of experience leading teams in the design and development of enterprise software solutions. In addition to the fields of database auditing and caching, he also has extensive expertise in artificial intelligence, distributed computing, and computer graphics. Prior to Appfluent, Allen worked on the development of a sophisticated air-to-air combat simulation for the U.S. Air Force. He holds a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia, and a BS in Physics and a BA in Mathematics from Centenary College.
Santosh Chitakki, Vice President, Products
Santosh Chitakki has over 15 years of sales, marketing and business development leadership experience. Prior to Appfluent, Santosh served as Vice President of Marketing for BioNetrix, an enterprise security software company. Prior to BioNetrix, he directed worldwide channel sales and marketing at Entevo Corporation. Santosh has also held senior product marketing, product management, and business development positions with IBM, Lotus and Intergraph. Santosh holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Bangalore University and an MBA from the University of Maryland.
Shawn Dolley, Vice President, Corporate Development & Strategy
Shawn Dolley has over 15 years of experience in the analytics, Big Data, and Hadoop markets. He joins Appfluent from IBM, where he was Vice President and General Manager, Public Sector Hadoop. He is responsible for expanding Appfluent’s presence as companies migrate more analytics to Hadoop, and bring innovative new products to market. Prior to IBM, Dolley was Vice President and General Manager of Healthcare and Life Sciences at Netezza, which was acquired by IBM in 2010. Before Netezza, he served as Chairman and CEO of Vision Chain (now Orchestro).
Scott Rothrock, Vice President, Engineering
Scott Rothrock has over 18 years of experience in venture-funded and established technology firms. Prior to Appfluent, Scott was Co-founder and President of RemarkableHire, a talent sourcing and assessment platform. Before RemarkableHire, he served as CTO at Goal.com, which was acquired by Perform Media Group in 2011. Prior to Goal.com, Scott was the CTO at HealthCentral. He has also led strategic engagements with top-tier organizations during his tenure at Accenture. Scott holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Richmond.
Michelle Sullivan, Director, Marketing
Michelle Sullivan has 20 years of marketing experience in the technology sector. Prior to Appfluent, Michelle served as Marketing Director at Privia, a provider of solutions for government contractors. Before Privia, she ran her own marketing consultancy focused on clients in the software industry. Prior to that she was Senior Director, Marketing at Plateau, which was acquired by SuccessFactors in 2011. Michelle is a graduate of Robert Morris University and 2012 recipient of the Bronze Stevie Award for Women in Business – Hardware and Software Sector.
Steve Varsolona, Director, Sales
Steve Varsolona has more than 25 years of experience in leading the growth, development, and management of technology-based products for Fortune 500 organizations. Prior to Appfluent, Steve led business development at DataFlux, a provider of enterprise data management solutions. He has also held senior-level positions with leading technology firms including Microsystems, Business Objects and Firstlogic. Steve holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Northern Illinois University and an MBA from Northwestern University.
