Glidewell Laboratories saved over $88K/year by moving data to Amazon Redshift. Want to know how?
An industry-leader in dental products and services, Glidewell Laboratories regularly analyzes data to identify new markets, evaluate sales efficiency, and measure the effectiveness of new processes. Recently some Glidewell team members needed to gather large amounts of data from multiple laboratories and moving it to the cloud for business intelligence (BI) and analytics.
Using Attunity CloudBeam to move the data to Amazon Redshift, the IT team was able to create a data mart on Amazon Redshift within two days. The estimated cost savings was over $88,000/year. Using an ETL solution would have cost $15,000 for initial customizations, plus a dedicated IT resource with an annual salary of at least $73,000.
“Amazon Redshift is an impressive cloud-based data warehouse. Using Attunity CloudBeam’s optimized data loading solution, Glidewell was able to onboard more quickly to the platform and overcome the data transfer bottleneck while avoiding a large learning curve. This resulted in rapid self-service analytics with immediate value to our business.”
